review

When I’ve read the synopsis at the back, I’m like “backpacking? traveling?! and the cover has a crown, that probably implies royalty right? I have to read this!

Fast forward to the future 😂  The author was so kind to provide me a copy and it comes with a pretty packaging. @anniewoodsauthor thank you! 😭💖 diving into this world, I did expect to go on travel adventures, and yes I was not disappointed!

Story and plot seem a little bit predictable for me – AT FIRST. prince meets this girl, they need to make choices that may affect everyone around them, etc. BUT after the first half, things got more interesting and there’s scheming involved! there were character encounters that I always look forward to reading! 💖 for example like…*zips mouth* nevermind this is a spoiler-free review. 🙊🙈

Character-wise, every supporting character’s arc was good! Particularly Tyler’s! I sure there’s more but I already love his character for this first installment! 😭💖 I didn’t see much for Erica though, BUT with THAT ending am pretty sure the second book will gonna be great for her character growth and for everyone involved and around her!

Also, this book is a TV series material content! I pretty sure people would love to watch this kind of story! i definitely would!

OKAY, THIS IS GONNA THE BE THE SPOILER PART, YOU CAN CLOSE THE TAB NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT ANY SPOILERS.

This part, I’m gonna talk about the characters, my opinions, and whatnot.

Erica, well this girl’s character is too plain to me. Heyyyy girl you are one of the main characters! I didn’t get to see much of her ARC, to be honest. She’s cool and fun but I NEED MORE. She needs to grow as a character, some changes happened to her character though but I NEED MORE. I’m really excited to the fact that – maybe she’s pregnant. That would be one of the “triggering” parts for her as a character. [I also can’t wait for Miriam to find out who Erica is dating lol, she’s my spirit animal when it comes to figuring out who likes who. Miriam for the win hahahha]

Sasha, too good to be true. I find him boring. I mean for my preference, but yes who wouldn’t love a Prince, a very handsome prince and very kind hearted! Who really cares for his lover! But all in all, I really find that type of book character a too good to be true one. I want to see flaws! I want to see him do “realistic” wrong decisions hahahaha! So when he hinted that he is against LGBT, yasss that’s it – a real life person hahhaha (I don’t hate LGBT, I support their rights, it’s just that it’s good to see a real-life character attitude in the book) Yahh know there are people who don’t favor the LGBT community so I see it (in the book) as kind of real situation were then Sasha and Erica will have to argue about it and maybe Sasha will understand why Erica is pro-LGBT or, the worst case, they’d hate each other for what the other believes. It’s a really good thing to add a bit of spice and fight in a relationship to see how will the characters grow. (because I really don’t fancy “too good to be true”, a perfect character with no flaws and wrongs)

Tyler, YOUUUUU!!!! this is why I love Tyler so much I could cry! I love his character ARC, it’s perfectly well written. The reason why I chose his line to quote this review (see above intro) I REPEAT, I LOVE HIS CHARACTER. He is flawed, he is realistic, he is pure, he is doing his best all the damn time, he needs a hug, he needs me (HAHAHAHA). I love his and Erica’s relationship growth. I love slow burn relationships so HAHAHAHAHAHAH I’M SHIPPING IT. IF NOBODY WOULD TAKE HIM THEN GIVE HIM TO ME. I love Tyler being Tyler. *cries han river* One of the best character ARC in the story along with Ricky and Danny. I wonder how would he play it if he’ll know Erica is preggo…mmmmmm interesting topic to dive into. Also, how would Ricky handle it? Oh so pure Ricky, I want to hug him. [ I love the dynamic relationship between the three: Ricky, Danny, and Erica!]

For Sasha and Erica’s relationship, I want to see deeper connections, it seems like all they do is sex – tell each other how much they love each other – sex again. I want them to connect, I want them to grow as a couple, as a person for each other. Yes, I ship Tyler and Erica but in the end, I can always see Erica and Sasha as an end game. That’s why before this saga ends, I want them to have a relationship more than just sex and sweet words.

I love it that this book talks about charities, sports, family, poverty, traveling and the LGBT community. Also, Francesca’s schemes seem to add more action and thrill to the story! It’s gonna be exciting! I can’t wait for the second book, on how everything would turn out! I am really looking forward to the next installment because as what unfolds in book one will have a great influence on the next book! I know for sure that all the characters will grow and the storyline would be amazing!

That’d be all! Thank you for reading!

-all the love, F♥
